The former reality TV star, who appeared on the ninth series of the Channel Nine series, came to Collins’ defense and exposed ableist language crafted by a swarm of online trolls.

On Instagram, Daniel denounced brutal comments made in social media posts about Collins’ personality.

‘I have to say something, man. Hello public, relax a little. Relax,’ he said.

‘Look at this Collins guy, for example. I understand that the public doesn’t like it. But if you look at any video that’s posted of him, you look at the top comments, it’s like, “Oh yeah, this guy is definitely autistic.” Oh.’

He continued, “The second top comment is like, ‘Yeah, this guy is definitely gay, but he doesn’t know it yet.’

“This poor guy will come out of MAFS, look at his online presence and say, ‘Cool. Now everyone thinks I’m gay and autistic.”

‘He just signed up to put on a damn show, he didn’t murder anyone. Chill out.’

MAFS viewers have taken to social media to criticize boyfriend Collins Christian’s “terrible performance” on the series, even going so far as to question how he got on the show.

During the shocking episode on Sunday night, the 28-year-old collided with relationship expert John Aiken after his wife Natalie Parham said he wasn’t showing his affection.

Aiken, 53, asked him what he thought he should do to regain Natalie’s trust, prompting an upset Collins to tell him he was the one asking for advice.

Viewers were divided over Collins’ sarcastic response to what was supposed to be a serious conversation and took to social media to offer their opinions.

“Collins won’t even get a job on Home and Away with this performance,” one fan joked.

‘Does Collins in MAFS get a Razzie for worst overacting of all time? At this rate, he’s ready for a Days of Our Lives gig,” a second user added.

‘Serious question, how the hell did Collins get through the auditions?’ a third person asked, with another writing: “I think Collins is trying to get into NIDA.”

However, others supported Collins’ approach and praised him for his ability to put on a show.

“Collins, best actor award for MAFS 2024,” wrote one follower and another added: “Someone call the Academy: Collins is betting on an Oscar.”

Natalie and Collins have since left the series after she accused him of faking his emotions towards her in order to stay on the show.

Collins told Nat he wanted to fight for their relationship because he enjoyed their wedding day and was absolutely stunned by her response.

‘Can you tell me the times we’ve been together, apart from the wedding day, that made you happy?’ she asked.

‘Oh, every moment I see you I’m happy and that’s why I said ‘stay,'” Collins replied.

However, Natalie didn’t agree and accused him of faking his affection for her so he could stay in the dating experiment.

“This sounds like an Oscar performance. Sorry, I can’t listen to you without hearing an orchestra,” she responded.

“I can’t communicate with someone who talks to me like we’re on the set of Neighbors or Home and Away.”

He then told Christian that he was abandoning the experiment because he had finally decided that they would never be compatible.

‘It just feels so manufactured. “If it’s really you, you’re not someone who gives me energy,” she said.

‘I can’t imagine us forming a romantic connection, that’s for sure. It’s time for me to go.

A devastated Collins was then seen wishing Natalie all the best before leaving their hotel room for the last time.

It comes after Daily Mail Australia spotted the Melbourne physiotherapist storming out of the Skye Suites with her suitcase on August 17 before heading to the airport.

Collins and Natalie were quickly booted from the show and returned home less than two days after the final commitment ceremony was filmed.

According to a spy, the pair ended on “bad terms” and things don’t get much better at the reunion when they have an argument on camera.
