Husband Shannon Adams was married to Hard at First Sight and he has vehemently denied harmful claims that he was addicted to methamphetamines after his stint on the Channel Nine programme.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, the 30-year-old personal trainer opens up about his secret health battle and the real medicines he takes.
‘of course not! I’m not addicted to methamphetamine, Shannon said.
The personal trainer turned Uber Eats driver explained that he was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, after which he began taking dexamfetamine better known as Dexies — a drug prescribed and closely monitored by his doctors.
“It’s a long and difficult process to diagnose and treat ADHD,” Shannon explained.

Shannon wasn’t diagnosed until after MAFS was filmed, which means he didn’t have medication support throughout the show or his childhood.
He jokingly added, “If I were on meth, I’d be so up during these 4 a.m. commitment festivities, not looking glassy-eyed and ready for bed.”

Shannon also admitted that he was “toxic” during his relationship with Caitlin McConville, but said he had his reasons.
He explained that his cruel behavior was a result of Caitlin’s negligence towards his desire to meet his child.
“She didn’t have to meet my child and she didn’t care if I didn’t meet her,” he explained, skeptical of her intentions on the show.

In a surprising twist, Shannon claims Caitlin wrote the word “staycation” during the last weeks of the show, but it was manipulated to look like she was ready to turn it down.
Shannon said he was “so hurt” by Caitlin’s disrespect for his child. You treat my child like nothing, I will treat you like nothing. a period!’

However, Shannon doesn’t entirely play the victim card.
I’ll have my share when I need to, and I’ll have my fair share of f***-ups, as we’re well aware,” he admitted.
Despite their differences, he acknowledged that Caitlin was right about one thing, though he chose to keep his private life private.
