“What would I say to my 23-year-old?” ⁣⁣⁣ First of all, be nicer to your family. They really only want the best for you… even if they probably don’t know what that is. They would move heaven and earth for you, and when it comes down to it, I can guarantee they will be there,” she added.

She went on to say, “Your friends. Choose them wisely. If you’re lucky enough to have the same friends for over a decade, that’s jackpot sh*t. Be eternally grateful and treat them as you would like to be treated.”

Chances are, your friendships will keep your relationship going. Be loyal, be supportive, remember that no one is perfect… so accept your friends with their flaws.”

Martha also pointed out the importance of ‘being kind to yourself, your body and your mind’.

“Of course there are things you won’t like about your thighs and your nose… don’t forget that even Kendall Jenner edits her photos. The sooner you master it, the faster you progress.’

“If there’s something about yourself that makes you really unhappy, change it. Life is short.⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ If you’re in your thirties and still single, you’ll be fine, I promise, there’s nothing wrong with you.’

Martha continued: “Most of us are still ad**kheads in our 20s, and probably not fit to make a decision about a life partner, and that’s okay. People will forgive you for being ad**khead in your twenties, but they won’t forgive you for being ad**khead in your thirties.’

“Finally, pay attention to what you’re good at… like what you’re really good at? Without even trying. What comes naturally to you? Cherish it and celebrate it! Even if it’s the little thing you can do well.’

“And don’t let anyone tell you you’re not good enough, because you’ll always have doubters,” she finished.
