MAFS feuding girlfriends Jules and Melissa avoid an awkward run-in at Fashion Week

Jules Robinson and Melissa Lucarelli became best friends after appearing together on the sixth season of Married At First Sight, before dramatically falling out.

And this week, the feuding friends narrowly missed an awkward run-in with each other at Australian Fashion Week in Sydney.

An onlooker told Daily Mail Australia that they both attended the same fashion show on Thursday, but were strategically seated on opposite sides of the catwalk.

Jules was spotted hanging out with aspiring socialite Suzan Mutesi, while Mel mingled with menswear blogger Matthew Neville and model Lyndl Kean.

The former friends also showed up to Fashion Week on Friday, but were able to miss each other once again.

However, viewers said that there was a chill in the air whenever the two crossed paths at the various events, and even exchanged a few icy glances from each side.

Influencer Jules was her best Fashion Week publicity by rocking a velvet pantsuit from her own clothing line, Moira Muse.

The next day, she showed off her curves in a black satin dress from the line.

Not to be outshone by her old friend, Mel wore black pants and a matching blazer on Thursday, which she paired with nude heels and a designer bag.

On Friday, she stepped out in a glam pink babydoll dress with bright green heels.

Mel and Jules had a dramatic falling out after Jules dropped Mel from her bridal party and uninvited her to her real-life wedding to Cam Merchant, despite publicly asking Mel to be her maid of honor. in the ending of Married At First Sight.

Jules never provided a reason for the dumping, and brushed off questions about it when asked by reporters during her televised wedding special A Current Affair.

“You know what, in answer to that question, all that matters is that my nearest and dearest are here right now,” he said.

Mel opened up about her fight with Jules on the Dames Who Dish podcast last year.

“It was like third wheel with those two,” Mel said of her relationship with Cam and Jules, adding that they all lived in Sydney and often spent time together.

He literally came out of nowhere, right before the wedding he left me. Her reasoning was that we didn’t really see each other much after the show, which was so fake it’s not even funny.

Her other bridesmaids lived in London and Heidi [Latcham] lived in another state. So he literally even saw me more than anyone else.

She added: “It really upset me because I thought we had this amazing friendship and she was acting like it didn’t even happen.”
