Evelyn said her vows first because Robert was so nervous. She tells him he should have fought for her throughout the experience, and is disappointed he didn’t.
“When I saw the kindness in your eyes,” she said, “I wanted to experience it… I developed a really strong feeling for you, but your words and actions were hard for me to understand.”
“You took six weeks to take me on one date and that’s when I asked you.”
She continued, “A person who sees my value would put his ego aside and fight for me… That is why I chose not to continue this relationship.”

On his last vows, Robert said he saw them as friends, but loved meeting her dogs nonetheless.
“Evelyn, I loved getting to know you. I loved meeting your pickles and mustard dogs,” the 27-year-old began.
“But to be honest, platonic connection alone is not enough to maintain a healthy, loving relationship.”
He said he hopes you meet “the one” soon, but it’s not him.
He concluded, “Evelyn, you are such an ambitious, brave, kind, and amazing woman, and I really hope you find the love of your life because you deserve it.”
