Married At First Sight groom Chris Jensen has broken his silence after reports that he was arrested on drugs charges before appearing on the show.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the tattooed FIFO employee, 32, insisted that he is ‘only human’ and has never attempted to be anything but authentic.
‘I’m not perfect, I’m not trying to be, but I’ll always be real. I am a human. If my heart is in the right place and I’m doing my best, then I’m okay with this, ‘he wrote.

The accompanying photo showed a serious looking Chris posing for a shirtless selfie while swimming in the ocean.
Chris’ heartfelt message comes almost a week after news broke that he had been arrested for drugs before appearing on Married At First Sight.
The reality star faces one count of dangerous drug trafficking: serious organized crime.

He was scheduled to appear before the Brisbane Supreme Court on Wednesday, but the case was postponed to April 23.
Chris had previously received bail from the Supreme Court, The courier post reported.
In a conversation with Daily Mail Australia on Thursday, Queensland courts and the Department of Justice and Attorney General confirmed the allegations.

He was arrested along with three co-defendants, all of whom are facing similar charges.
A Brisbane Magistrates Court spokesman told The Courier Mail that Chris last appeared in court on October 30, 2020, after receiving magistrate bail in 2018.
During his last appearance, his bail was increased and the case was postponed until July 23.

Chris also faces several charges of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of anything used in the commission of a crime, possession of used utensils or pipes and two charges of possession suspected of being the proceeds of a crime under the Drugs Misuse Act.
Chris was a latecomer to this year’s season of Married At First Sight and was linked to Jaimie Gardner.
However, the two failed to establish a connection and chose to leave the series on last Monday night’s episode.
