It’s no secret that Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson’s experience filming Channel Nine’s Married At First Sight was anything but smooth.

And now Daily Mail Australia can reveal the real reason why Bryce, 31, decided to skip dinner on Sunday night.

According to a well-placed source, Bryce got into a heated clash with producers after revealing his intentions to leave the show.

“After weeks of being bullied by Beck, and again by Sam on boys’ night, Bryce had just had enough,” the insider said.

“He packed his bags and told his producer that he and Melissa were leaving and there was nothing they could do about it.”

Unable to get hold of MAFS boss Tara McWilliams at the time, it is alleged that a producer had said ‘Bryce had to stay in an empty hotel room for seven hours without his belongings’ while they figured out what to do.

After Bryce managed to escape, he frantically left the Skye Suites in Sydney CBD, where he lived during filming to contact his parents.

Bryce was desperate. He wanted to go out and asked a stranger for coins to use a payphone to call his parents and ask for advice, ‘the source said.

Clearly, Bryce was using a Telstra phone booth on Barrack Street, Sydney, just two blocks from his hotel.

Bryce returned to his hotel after several hours without any of his belongings, where he was met by several executive producers who reluctantly agreed to let the couple miss their final dinner.

Producers told him he wouldn’t be doing himself a favor by running away. They had complete control over how he would be perceived by viewers – and they could essentially make or break him. ‘

Obviously, Bryce and Melissa decided to enjoy a night out on their own instead.

During Sunday’s episode, Bryce broke up and told his bride Melissa that he wanted to leave the show.

“It’s just constant attack after attack, accusations, lies being brought forward. I am leaving the experiment today. If you want to come with me that would be great. If not I could understand. You have reasons not to want to come with me, ”he said.

Melissa replied, ‘I don’t want to leave and be that couple trying to hide something. We literally have one day left in the experiment. Tomorrow we will go our own way and find out what to do ‘.

‘I’m just so sick and tired of this situation … Honestly, I caught this last night. I cut it for the whole experiment, and I’m going home … because it makes me sick. I want to go home, ”he said unstable.

Melissa consoled him and begged, “Please don’t,” while a crying Bryce sobbed between his hands.
