MAFS bosses accused of ‘favouritism’ as Logie Awards photo surfaces

MAFS bosses accused of ‘preference’ as scathing photo emerges of laughing executive producer Tara McWilliams at the Logies showing cast members receiving glowing edits – as the ‘villains’ try to rebuild their shattered lives

The creative team behind Married At First Sight has been accused of favoritism after a photo appeared of the show’s executive producer partying at the Logie Awards with a group of cast members all receiving glowing edits.

Tara McWilliams, regarded as one of the most powerful women on Australian television, was featured on TV Night of Nights at the Gold along with MAFS relationship expert John Aiken and contestants Ella Ding, Domenica Calarco, Al Perkins and Brent Vitiello. Coast pictured on Sunday.

According to one ex-contestant, the photo was a slap in the face to the other MAFS cast members who didn’t get an invite to the Logies and whose reputations were left in tatters for their “poor edits” on the show.

Outspoken former MAFS groom Nasser Sultan shared the photo on Instagram, writing: “The true definition of favoritism.

‘With the producer of MAFS and John [Aiken] at the Lodge. From zero to heroes. Editing is a wonderful thing.’

Domenica and Ella were the breakthrough stars of MAFS this year and now host a podcast that tops the charts, but their radiant edits came at the expense of rival bride Olivia Frazer.

Olivia was dubbed the “villain” of the season after she shared a nude photo of Domenica among the cast, thus expressing her as an OnlyFans model.

The makeup artist was humiliated to learn that her co-stars knew about her OnlyFans account and burst into tears during the dinner party after the couple’s retreat.

Olivia went on to pay a very high price for her mistake.

She lost her dream job as a teaching assistant as a “direct result” of the scandal and has now been forced into online sex work in an ironic twist herself.

Meanwhile, Al was portrayed as a merry party animal on MAFS – largely at the expense of his ‘wife’ Samantha Moitzi, who was edited to look like a bland shrew.

Brent was also edited to be the ultimate nice guy, while his “wife” Tamara Djordjevic was made to look like the “bride from hell” due to her snobbish attitude.

Tamara is believed to have lost her lucrative real estate job, in part due to her negative portrayal in the Channel Nine series.
