The army recruits also sported a bushy beard and eye-catching tattoos in the photo.

Sam graduated from the Kapooka Army Recruit Training Program in Canberra.
He was awarded the Most Distinguished Soldier upon completing the course, according to a post on the Army Recruit Training Center – Kapooka Facebook page.
