Married At First Sight Groom Jesse Burford Claims Producers Asked Him To Write Infamous ‘Dating List’
Married At First Sight groom Jesse Burford revealed Tuesday that producers asked him to write his controversial list of dating.
The 30-year-old celebrator shocked viewers earlier this year when he read his list of red flags on the show, which included “chicks walking around” and “gym pics.”
Jesse told Dramatic so much! The podcaster didn’t come up with the idea of writing the list himself – but was encouraged to do so by the showrunners.
I sat for a two hour interview. I told the producers about my whole life, and they picked a 30 second where I brought out a list that they asked me to write.
He then revealed that he “hated” the show, which he called a “bad slate” and said he never referred to it as such.

The celeb, 30, shocked viewers earlier this year when he read his list of red flags on the show, which included “chicks walking around” and “gym pics.”
There is a negative connotation to it. He said, “We all have things we’re not drawn to… It was mine.”
Back in January, viewers were introduced to Jesse, who revealed that he has a list of things to avoid when it comes to dating.
“I already brought it,” Jesse told the producers in a promo, revealing it from his pocket.
All my turnouts (women) who are addicted to their phones are motivational quotes, vanilla, basic, boring.
He continued, “(Those who) don’t listen and don’t even let you talk…star signal chicks and drama queens.”

Jesse went on to say that he also doesn’t like “chicks that get tired” and any women who start a sentence with the words: “honey,” “baby,” or “oh my god.”
Earlier this month, Jesse opened up about his experience with the show and his doomed marriage to Claire Nomarhas.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, he revealed what really happened after his bride Claire, 31, kissed fellow groom Adam Seed during a wild night out, saying he begged the producers to let him leave the show but they wouldn’t.
In the explosive interview, Jesse revealed that he was “shocked” to see how their turbulent relationship played out on screen, as Claire was portrayed as an angel, despite her “crazy stuff” on set, like “cheating” and “gaslighting”.
Jesse admitted that he assumed he wouldn’t receive an “evil” edit during filming, and was horrified to discover that his assumptions were wrong when the show began.
