The upcoming season of Married at First Sight is already causing a stir, with a scandal involving the show’s longest-serving couple recently coming to a head.
Daily Mail Australia can reveal that Morena Farina and Tony Mojanovski’s whirlwind romance appears to be crumbling before it even began, after Morena recently learned that her new husband is still married to her ex.
Sources close to the production have revealed that the revelation came as a complete shock to Morena, who had instantly fallen in love with Tony.
However, instead of embarking on a fairytale romance, the 57-year-old actress was spotted dejectedly outside One Global Resorts last week, with her suitcases in tow, after she left the show in tears.
According to sources close to the couple, Tony, 53, had split from his long-term partner three years ago, but had never officially ended their marriage.
Despite this, she entered the MAFS experiment hoping for a fresh start, but things took a turn during the honeymoon.
“It was one of the best days of her life, but everything came crashing down when Tony made his explosive confession,” a source revealed.
A source close to Tony shared more about the dramatic situation. “On the honeymoon, he brought it up. He said, ‘If I’m married, uh, you know, does that bother you?’ It was a disaster from the start,” she said.

Morena was understandably devastated. “They could never get over it. She was always telling him to go find his wife. The whole cast was stunned when they found out he was still married,” another source added.
‘Tony was under the impression that Morena could help him rekindle things with his ex. He even asked the experts for advice on the matter. They were speechless.’

Despite being separated for three years, Tony had not taken the final legal steps to end their marriage.
