A former Miss Universe contestant, who failed to make it to the finals in her bid to win the crown, is reportedly causing havoc on the set of Married At First Sight.
Sources close to the series revealed to Daily Mail Australia that season 12 girlfriend Veronica Cloherty has “been nothing but trouble” for both her boyfriend Eliot Donovan and the production team, with some even branding her a “high-maintenance diva.”
While MAFS is designed to help people find love, it seems Veronica’s focus is elsewhere: her acting career.
Having failed to make an impact in the pageant world, the beauty queen is reportedly using the show as a platform to build her public profile, leaving Eliot and the production staff struggling to keep up with her ambitions.
“She is treating this show as a personal audition,” a source close to the production told Daily Mail Australia.
‘When the cameras are on, she’s acting, but behind the scenes, what matters is advancing her career.’
In a shocking revelation at a recent dinner party, Veronica allegedly admitted to several cast members that she had been “acting” the entire time, revealing that she deliberately altered her personality to prolong her stay in the experiment.
“She’s playing a character just to extend her screen time,” a source shared. “Everyone was stunned when she said it out loud.”

Veronica, who previously starred in Streets of Colour and the limited television series RIFK, has left her positionHer boyfriend, Eliot, “exhausted” by her behavior.
Sources also claim that she’s been more involved in her friendship with Eliot’s ex, Lauren Hall, than her marriage, leaving the cast baffled.
“It’s clear she’s prioritizing spending time with Lauren over connecting with Eliot,” a source said. “The rest of the cast is shocked by how dismissive she is of her own relationship.”

Having failed to make an impact in the pageant world, the beauty queen is reportedly using the show as a platform to build her public profile, leaving Eliot and the production staff struggling to keep up with her ambitions.
To make matters worse, Veronica allegedly moved out of the couple’s apartment just two days after they got married, complaining about Eliot’s body odor.
“He didn’t even give her a chance,” a source explained. “He just got up and left, saying her smell was too strong to bear.”
It is reportedly not just Eliot who finds Veronica difficult to handle.
Production sources have also spoken out about her diva demands.
As if things couldn’t get any worse, Veronica was reportedly heard talking about her plan to use the show to increase her social media following and boost her profile in the entertainment world.
“She’s very calculating,” said a source. “She’s here to launch her acting career and everyone knows it.”
‘The producers are not happy because this distracts from what the show is supposed to be about.’
Rumors of tension behind the scenes have already begun to circulate, with reports that some of the show’s original girlfriends are growing increasingly frustrated with Veronica’s behavior.
“She’s acting like she’s the star of the show and it’s upsetting people,” another source revealed.
“Everything revolves around her, and she is becoming a nightmare for all those who try to cross her path.”
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine and Veronica for comment.
“She’s treating this show like a personal audition,” a source close to production told Daily Mail Australia. “At the time the cameras are on, she’s acting, but behind the scenes, it’s all about furthering her career.”
