Madonna fueled the rumors with a new Instagram post on Thursday.
Grammy-winning singer Rebel Heart, 66, was spotted dining at French restaurant Monsieur Bistro in New York City with a very prominent director.
It was Australian filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, best known for his entertaining musical dramas Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge. and Gatsby.
Baz was also the director behind the highly entertaining Elvis biopic, which starred Austin Butler and received the 2023 Best Picture Oscar nomination.
Madonna and Baz’s union over an intimate dinner sparked rumors that the two could be working together on a new project.
Madonna seems ripe for a movie about her life and Baz would be the perfect man to direct the huge project.
The interpreter has also been trying for years to get her own biographical film off the ground with actress Julia Garner.

Madonna gave no indication that she would meet with Luhrmann to discuss a film.
Rather, the Michigan diva said she was in a bad mood and went to see Monsieur in Lexington on the Upper East Side.
“When you’re feeling down, go to Monsieur,” she wrote in her caption as Addison Rae hit the like button.
It’s a new take on Parisian café culture, offering classic French dishes with a Mediterranean influence, all centered around healthy ingredients.
Madonna wore her blonde hair down and wore a black leather coat over a black blouse with a pair of pants cut off to reveal a purple skirt.
Movie star Dick Tracy posed for some very artistic photographs. In one image, Baz leaned over and touched her face, as he appeared to be good friends with the Material Girl.
Madonna’s current boyfriend, Akeem Morris, 28, was also present.
Madonna seems interested in bringing her life story to film.
In 2023 she began working on a biographical film about her life called Who’s That Girl, which is a reference to her 1987 film and single of the same name.

But then Madonna turned her attention to going on tour.
In 2024, Madonna reportedly wrote most of the film with Erin Cressida Wilson and cast Ozark’s Julia Garner in the lead role.
And Madonna wanted to direct the film herself.
But it is not known for sure what the status of the film is at the moment.
In July, Madonna shared on Instagram that it will take a lot of work to get her biopic off the ground.
Madonna has already starred in several films such as Desperately Seeking Susan, Body of Evidence and Dangerous Game.
In December, Madonna announced that she would release new music. The Queen of Pop took to Instagram to reveal that she has been working with producer Stuart Price on new material due for release next year.
Madonna’s current boyfriend, Akeem Morris, 28, was also present.
In a caption accompanying the video, Madonna wrote: “Working on new music with Stuart Price. These last few months have been medicine for my SOUL. ‘Songwriting and making music is the only area where I don’t need to ask anyone’s permission. I’m so excited to share it with you.
