The Grammy winner was sitting in a chair as part of the choreography for Open Your Heart.
The dance moves require a dancer to pull the chair toward the main stage, but apparently the high heels they were wearing caused them to slip and the dancer and Madonna landed on the floor with their legs in the air.
After being out of place for a moment, Madonna turned upside down and let out a small laugh, endearing her to the crowd.
Another crew member stepped forward and helped her into another chair.
The singer attempted to continue the performance and swore slightly when she realized she was sitting in the chair facing the wrong direction and turned around.
Another dancer, dragging a chair with her, approached the singer and gave Madonna a hug and a little shake before moving on.
The artist tried to move on, but the shock still affected her and she told the crowd: ‘Shit, I forgot the words.’
She remembered the lyrics and choreography pretty quickly after that and finished the song.
After the video of the incident became public, fans could only express their admiration.
