Madonna, 65, confirms historic FREE concert in Brazil as final stop on her Celebration tour after weeks of rumors: ‘A thank you to incredible fans’

After months of performing around the world, Madonna is preparing for a grand finale to her Celebration Tour.

The Grammy Award winner, 65, announced Monday that her “biggest show yet” will be a free concert on May 4 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

“The celebration spanning four decades of music will culminate with a free event on May 4 on Copacabana Beach as a thank you to their incredible fans around the world,” the announcement reads. website.

Held at the Belmond Copacabana Palace Hotel, the concert will be broadcast live on TV Globo.

There will be no tickets and admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

In her first show in Brazil since 2012, Madonna will return with Bob the Drag Queen, who accompanied her throughout the Celebration tour.

Performing her most beloved hits from her decades-long career, Madonna kicked off the tour on October 14 in London.

Previously, Madonna had to cut her tour short by seven months after being hospitalized and intubated for a bacterial infection last June.

The Madame X artist later revealed that she was in an induced coma for 48 hours after suffering lung and kidney failure.

During her first Celebration Tour stop in London, Madonna admitted on stage that she “didn’t think she would make it” during the period, during which she “forgot five days” of her life.

“I didn’t think I would make it, and neither did my doctors,” he said. “That’s why I woke up with all my kids sitting around me.”

‘I forgot five days of my life, or my death, I don’t really know where I was. But the angels were protecting me,” she continued. ‘And my children were there. And my children always save me, every time.’

Health issues aside, Madonna has also received lawsuits from her fans during the Celebration Tour, after her shows in New York started two hours late.

“The shows premiered in North America at Barclays in Brooklyn as planned, with the exception of a technical issue on December 13 during sound check.”
