McDonald’s restaurants across the country are unable to serve customers after they were hit by an IT outage.

The systems have been offline since around 15.10 and it is unknown what caused it or how long it will be before the computers are back online.

Customers are also unable to order food from the Maccas app as a workaround at the moment.

A McDonald’s manager told Daily Mail Australia that 90 minutes after the first outage, the restaurant’s head office had yet to tell anyone what was going on.

“We are in the dark,” he said.

Meanwhile, some locations are accepting cash while they wait for the cash registers to come back online.

More on the way.
