A man has been arrested after a luxury car was caught on video as it burst into flames.
The car, believed to be a Porsche Cayenne S, was set on fire shortly after midnight on Thursday evening in the parking lot of a shopping center on Hope Island on the north side of the Gold Coast.
Firefighters arrived on scene to extinguish the flames.
A man, known to police, according to 9News, has been arrested and is due to appear in court on Friday.
“Nope island strikes again,” a local commented on Facebook.
“This suburb is getting worse.”
