- Darts star Luke Littler to be guest player on Bullseye Christmas special
- The 17-year-old rose to stardom after reaching the final of the World Championship
Teenage darts superstar Luke Littler will reportedly be the guest player on the Bullseye reboot.
The World Championship runner-up and Premier League champion will join new presenter Andrew Flintoff on the Christmas special of the revived quiz show, according to The Sun.
Littler’s incredible and rapid rise is said to have played a major factor in ITV bosses’ decision to bring the show back.
The show features three pairs of contestants, each consisting of an amateur darts player and a contestant, who compete in dart games and contests to win cash and prizes.
In this special edition, Littler and others will compete to win money for charities.
A source told The Sun: ‘Luke wasn’t even born when Bullseye was on our screens with original presenter Jim Bowen. But Luke knows that getting this role is great.
‘As you move into Bullseye oche, you know you’re following in the footsteps of legends like Eric Bristow and Jocky Wilson, who threw darts on the show in its heyday in the 80s.
“It is also a triumph for the creators of the new Bullseye, as Luke is now one of Britain’s best-known players.
‘The producers moved quickly to sign him up shortly after ITV brought the show back into service.
“All of this adds to the enormous sense of excitement for the show’s return.”
