Luke Davies’ heartbroken mother has broken her silence as she shared a moving tribute to her murdered son.

Sandy Davies publicly acknowledged her son’s alleged murder for the first time by changing her Facebook profile picture to a sweet photo of the couple.

The mother and son are seen smiling and hugging in the photo from happier times, which has since been flooded with comments from loved ones.

Davies also changed his cover photo to an announcement that Qantas would dedicate its Mardi Gras float to his flight attendant son on Saturday night.

“He’ll be there in spirit,” one person commented on the photo.

Ms Davies’ tribute came as the four words heard in a triple zero call made from her son’s phone on the morning he was allegedly murdered at her boyfriend Jesse Baird’s Paddington home were detailed in a police document.

Sandy Davies, the mother of allegedly murdered Qantas flight attendant Luke Davies, has broken her silence by changing her Facebook profile picture to this photo of the couple.

Hundreds of people gathered to remember Baird and Davies at a silent vigil in Sydney (pictured) on the eve of Mardi Gras celebrations on Friday.

Davies, 29, and Baird, 29, had spent the night before their alleged murders partying in Surry Hills before returning to Baird’s $2.5 million rental.

Police will allege that NSW Police Senior Constable Beau Lamarre-Condon arrived at the house armed with his police-issued Glock on the morning of February 19.

He allegedly shot Mr Baird and Mr Davies at around 9.50am

A triple-zero operator who responded to a call from Mr Davies’ phone heard a man shout “Get out, fuck off” before he was suddenly disconnected, police documents allege.

The operator attempted to contact Mr Davies twice but both calls went unanswered.

Earlier on Friday, one of Davies’ close friends revealed that he had received a message from the flight attendant just 20 minutes before his death.

“We were always sending each other funny Instagram memes, so I received one at 9:18 the morning of the incident, and it was a funny Instagram meme, followed by a crying laughing emoji, which is pretty much what Luke he said,” his close friend Dean Bailey told Sunrise.

‘You could imagine him physically laughing while sending that message.

“Knowing that 30 minutes after that, things got worse and the unimaginable happened, it’s heartbreaking to think about what happened with that message he sent me and what happened in the next 30 minutes.”

NSW Police Senior Constable Beau Lamarre-Condon (pictured) has been charged with two counts of murder and remains behind bars at Silverwater Correctional Centre.

Human remains belonging to Mr Davies, left, and Mr Baird, right, were discovered stuffed inside surf bags and buried in a solitary grave in a bush on Tuesday afternoon.

Davies had worked for Qantas since September 2022 and moved from Brisbane to Sydney last November to work on the airline’s international network.

Human remains belonging to Davies and Baird were discovered stuffed inside surf bags and buried in a solitary grave in a bush on Tuesday afternoon.

Their alleged killer allegedly rented a white rental van to transport their bodies to a remote farm property in Bungonia, about 180 kilometers southwest of Sydney.

He is alleged to have then returned to the scene to move the bodies to another location in Bungonia, about a 20-minute drive away.

Meanwhile, hundreds of people gathered to remember Baird and Davies at a silent vigil in Sydney ahead of Mardi Gras celebrations on Friday.

The pair are expected to appear on several floats on Saturday night, when revelers take to Oxford Street, not far from where they were allegedly murdered.

Lamarre-Condon, charged with two counts of murder, is currently at the Silverwater Correctional Complex in western Sydney.
