Lucy Spraggan has revealed that she has completely forgiven Simon Cowell for how she was treated on X Factor following her horrific sexual assault.

The singer, 32, revealed last year that she left the show when she was raped by a bouncer in the hotel room where she was staying after partying with Rylan Clark during production of the show in 2012.

However, it was Simon who was the first to apologize, with Lucy previously admitting that his call “just made things so much better for me.”

and talking to fabulous magazine Speaking about her relationship with the former X Factor judge, Lucy admitted she has completely forgiven him and is even ready to walk her down the aisle at their wedding in June.

Lucy and her girlfriend Emilia Smith, 33, got engaged in March, just a month into their relationship after a 10-year friendship deepened.

Revealing how she asked Simon the all-important question, she said: ‘We had been staying at Simon and Lauren’s house for a few days. One morning, Simón was about to go into the sea and I said to him: “Will you give me away?” and he answered: “Yes!” He went swimming and when he came back he said, “I’d love to do it. It would be an honor.”

He added: “His apology healed a part of me that I didn’t know needed healing.”

Lucy explained that she regularly visits Simon and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman’s home in Los Angeles, after recently attending a murder mystery party with the star, and even described them as her “surrogate parents.”

Expressing his love for the couple and their son Eric, he said: “We are all great friends.” I care about them, they care about me and Simon really cares about my life, my well-being and my music. Simon and Lauren feel like surrogate parents. They’re always looking out for me.’

The singer also admitted she has built bridges with ITV after the channel’s boss, Kevin Lygo, invited her to a meeting to discuss the past and how things may change in the future.

Lucy was previously in a relationship with her ex-girlfriend Evangelina, however when the couple split last year she became closer to Emilia.

The couple then moved in together in February and Lucy asked him to marry her in March.

Lucy was previously married to his wife Georgina Gordon; However, the couple separated in November 2019, after six years together and raising 12 children while undergoing fertility treatment.

However, Lucy has no doubt this relationship will be different and has already sent out invites for her big day in June, with Rylan Clark receiving an invite.

The star previously opened up about her incredible friendship with the presenter who was there the night of her sexual assault.

She said Rylan was “amazing” and recalled how his actions helped her secure a conviction.

The musician said: “Rylan was incredible, he was the first person I told, he went and called the police.”

Rylan was an absolutely fundamental point for there to be a conviction. She guarded the room and made sure no one entered, so as not to contaminate the evidence.

“When Rylan came back, he came to check on me and closed the door, and as he closed it, the man who came into my room had to re-enter with a traceable key card.”
