Lucas Bravo has some ideas about his future with the hit show Emily in Paris.

The actor, 36, whose idea for his character Gabriel’s restaurant to go vegan was quashed, now appears to be wondering whether he should return to the romantic comedy.

In an interview with The FigaroThe leading man hinted that although the Emmy-nominated series has helped him gain recognition, it does not “stimulate” him as an actor.

“Emily in Paris had a snowball effect for me that allowed me to meet certain people and try to create something lasting,” he told the publication.

He admitted that the romantic comedy in which he and Lily Collins’ Emily have an on-off relationship is “good entertainment” and an escape, but lacks depth.

‘I feel the need to raise awareness a little about what I’m saying,’ he explained about what he hopes to achieve as an actor.

Netflix has already renewed the show for a fifth season, but it remains to be seen if his character, Gabriel, will be part of the story.

By the end of season four, Emily had moved to Rome, which could make it easier for Bravo to exit the show smoothly.

“It will depend on the scenario because I think I have already solved the problem a little,” he explained.

The actor, who has made several off-season films, including his upcoming Freedom, seems to think he might need a break from the series.

“I don’t really have any freedom and as people start giving me something in other places, I’m getting a taste for it,” he explained.

‘Life is short. The filming of this series still lasts five months. Do I want to sacrifice them to tell something that doesn’t stimulate me? asked.

The actor also seemed to think that the romance between Gabriel and Emily had been going out of style for decades.

“In the last season, the writing was based on this ’90s idea where lovers walk away, kiss, walk away again,” he said of the show created by Sex and the City’s Darren Star. ‘It’s all based on lack of communication. “It’s a little archaic.”

If he returns for season five, Bravo said he would like Gabriel

If he returns for season five, Bravo said they would like Gabriel to “find some style again” (pictured in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, November 2023).

“Today, the new generation verbalizes, confronts each other, it no longer works on this side, we meet and we do not understand each other.”

“People see this mechanism from miles away… And I don’t want to be part of a mechanism that tends to not consider the intelligence of the viewers.”

If he ends up signing up for the new season, the actor would like to see Gabriel have more involvement in the game.

“I’d like him to find some panache again,” he said.
