Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake: The ladies spice up the Benton Inn by putting in a hot tub while tensions brew at the talent show

Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan had a hot tub sent to their motel, filled with a garden hose, and then waded in with their dresses on during Sunday’s episode of Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake on Bravo.

Akash Patel, the owner of the Benton Motel, was not impressed. His wife Hiral thought she was great.

“The motel doesn’t have a pool,” said Sonja, 59. He doesn’t have tennis. It does not have a gift shop. It doesn’t have a spa but now we have this as an attraction.’

“It’s an added bonus,” Luann, 58, said, and later in the episode, Luann and Sonja were at odds over performances in an upcoming talent show.

Luann and Sonja, both from The Real Housewives of New York City, agreed to go to Benton, Illinois, a city with a population of 7,000, and spend six weeks working with the Benton City Council to help the small town recover after the pandemic. The episode titled Creative Differences began with Luann and Sonja deciding that the motel they were staying at needed some work up and they decided that the hot tub would help.

“I had a dress on and I had to take it off,” Luann said.

Mike said he hoped to get the best room in the motel. Then Luann and Sonya headed to the animal shelter for the dog adoption event. They were excited to see that the fenced-in outdoor play area they created for the animals was already improving the lives of the animals at the shelter. A boy told them that he had just adopted a dog. The shelter thanked them for all they did.

“At the end of the day, it’s just a fence, a bunch of wires and poles,” Luann said. “But this is going to change the lives of these dogs.”

“These dogs need to get out,” Sonja said. ‘Some of these bitches are in heat. Same!’

Later they went to the civic center to prepare for their crazy Benton variety show. They met with the pianist whose name turned out to be Courtney Cox.

They told him they wrote their own Benton song but disagreed on how it should be performed.

“Luann takes things very seriously,” Sonja said. He wants to do a good job for the city.

Mike said in a confessional that he was on vacation in Canada when Luann called him and begged him to come down and help them.

Luann went to a rug store to pick out new rugs for the room. She said that the carpets in the hotel were older than her sons.

“I can’t wait to get new carpet under my feet,” said Luann.

Mike started demoing the rooms. Luann helped with the power tools while Sonja bathed. Mike removed the sinks from both rooms and cut out the closet doors.

Then Luann and Sonja rushed to the talent show rehearsals. Luann was wearing a blonde wig and cap.

Do you know how much I rehearse? Sonja said. ‘I like 30 minutes before every show. If you don’t like it, change it.

“We have a very short time until the performance and it’s not going exactly how I thought it would,” said Luann.
