MANILA, Philippines — A show cause order (SCO) has been issued against the registered owner of a motorcycle that allegedly caused unrest in Pasig City, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) said Tuesday.
Citing the SCO signed by Roque Verzosa III, Director of LTO-National Capital Region (NCR), the owner is facing complaints for three violations related to traffic regulations, including unauthorized installation of accessories and improper person to operate a motor vehicle control.
The motorcycle owner – a resident of San Mateo, Rizal – was also asked to explain why he should not be held liable for the violations after he caused a loud noise due to an accessory installed in his bike while roaming around Barangay Santolan.
LTO said the owner must appear before its NCR office on October 16 as directed by the SCO. It added that failure to comply would mean “the agency would abandon the legal process.”
A copy of the SCO has already been forwarded to Transport Minister Jaime Bautista.
