Smug left-wing zealots were out in force this morning to gloat over the Conservatives’ crushing election defeat.

This is despite the fact that Labour’s vote share has so far only increased by a paltry 1.6 per cent.

Arch-entertainer Carol Vorderman led the celebrations on social media alongside a host of celebrities who wanted their moment in the spotlight after Labour’s landslide victory.

From failed football manager Gary Neville to controversial Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, left-wing champions were out to mock the results.

Former Countdown human calculator Vorderman launched into a fierce tirade against the Tories on Channel 4 before taking to social media to show his delight.
