Love Island winners Mimii Ngulube and Josh Sunday Oyinsan have made their first TV appearance together since making history as the first black couple to win the ITV2 show.
Mimii, 24, and Josh, 29, were crowned winners of series 11 of Love Island last month and took home the £50,000 cash prize.
And now the pair have made their first TV appearance together to discuss their experience in the villa, reflecting on their appearance on Friday’s Lorraine.
Josh revealed that they didn’t expect to win, joking: “No, I think you can tell by my reaction. It’s a meme now.”
Mimii then confessed to Lorraine that it feels great to be home and surrounded by familiar faces and said that participating in the show was “the best thing I’ve ever done for myself.”

And now the couple made their first TV appearance when they appeared on Lorraine on Friday to discuss their time in the villa.
She said: “It’s so good to be home, surrounded by familiar faces, embracing everything. It was a long time, but we learned so much about ourselves and each other. It was the best thing I did for myself.”
Before Josh, Mimii and Ayo Odukoya, 25, had already been in a relationship, however, Ayo changed his mind during the annual Casa Amor reunion and dumped her for Jessica Spencer, 25, leaving Mimii as the only single girl in the villa.
Mimii admitted to Lorraine that although the situation during Casa Amor “wasn’t pleasant” for her, she confessed that everything “turned out well in the end.”
She said: “At the time it wasn’t pleasant, it was difficult.”
“I stayed true to myself and I’m glad I did. I feel like what was supposed to happen, happened and it worked out in the end because Josh and I are doing well now. Everything happens for a reason.”
During the interview, Lorraine asked Josh if he always knew Mimii was the one for him, to which he sweetly replied, “Yeah. When I met her, I thought, yeah, there’s definitely something here.”
During Mimii’s time on the show at the start she built a bond with Joey Essex, 34, however in the run-up to the final there were a number of clashes between the pair and Joey.
However, the star revealed to Lorraine that Joey has now apologised to them both off-camera after viewers complained to Ofcom about what they perceived as bullying behaviour.

Mimii then told Lorraine that it feels great to be home and surrounded by familiar faces, and said that taking part in the show was “the best thing I ever did for myself”.
Josh revealed there were no hard feelings and the hatchet had been well buried: “When I first got here, Joey and I got along really well.”
“Obviously, everyone saw what happened between him and me, the arguments.”
“To be honest, I wish it had gone a little differently, but we came out of there with no hard feelings towards Joey and we wish him the best with Jessy and hope they find what they’re looking for together.”
Mimii added: “The environment we were in was quite intense. There, everyone knows what everyone else is doing.”
“I’m glad they left him in the villa and that he apologized. I’m not one to hold grudges or anything like that. We wish each other the best.”
The pair’s appearance on Lorraine comes after they admitted they feel “proud and overwhelmed” by their historic win.
Last week, the pair became the first black couple to win the ITV2 show since the rebooted series began in 2015.
They were both stunned when host Maya Jama, 29, announced their names during the live finale.
During Mimii’s time on the show at the start she built a bond with Joey Essex, 34, however in the run-up to the final there were a number of clashes between the pair and Joey.
However, the star revealed to Lorraine that Joey has now apologised to them both off-camera after viewers complained to Ofcom about what they perceived as bullying behaviour.
Following the result, Mimii said: “I’m very surprised. It’s good. I hope it sets the pace for more diverse representation.”
“It’s overwhelming, but in the best possible way.”
Josh agreed, adding: “I’m definitely proud. Being able to do a little bit to balance the scales, if that means more diverse representation, is great. We’re happy to be writing history.”
The pair made it to the final with Nicole Samuel and Ciaran Davies, Matilda Draper and Sean Stone and Jessica Spencer and Ayo Odukoya.
Jessica and Ayo finished in fourth place, while Matilda and Sean took third position in the reality show competition.
Nicole and Ciaran were the runners-up in the final, as viewers ultimately voted to crown Mimii and Josh as their winners.
The pair’s appearance on Lorraine comes after they admitted they feel “proud and overwhelmed” by their historic win.
Her win comes just a week after black couple Serena Page and Kordell Beckham (pictured) won the US version of Love Island.

Her victory comes just a week after black couple Serena Page and Kordell Beckham won the US version of Love Island.
