They’ve been coupled up since day one, and now Jake Cornish is ready to take his relationship with blonde bombshell Liberty Poole to the next level.
In Friday night’s episode, the 24-year-old water engineer prepares to pop the question to his Nando’s waitress girlfriend, 21, asking her if she will be his girlfriend.
Elsewhere in the episode, Toby Aromolaran, 22, is still reeling after PE teacher Hugo Hammond’s recoupling speech, in which Hugo, 24, called Toby’s ditching of Chloe for newcomer Abigail Rawlings ‘complete b**llsh*t’, promoting semi-pro footballer Toby to retaliate by branding Hugo ‘muggy’ and ‘two-faced’.
Levelling up: Jake Cornish, 24, is ready to take his relationship with blonde bombshell Liberty Poole, 21, to the next level during Friday’s instalment of Love Island
Before asking Liberty if she is ready to make their romance official, Jake says to the boys on the sun deck: ‘I think it’s maybe time to take the plunge and put a label on it.’
He then enlists the help of his fellow Islanders and plans a surprise dinner for Liberty.
Sitting down for their dinner, Hugo and Liam Reardon serenade the pair, prompting Liberty to ask Jake: ‘Is this the sort of treatment I’ll be getting every night?’
Fashion buyer Millie Court and bricklayer Liam then bring over spaghetti bolognese for the loved-up couple, followed by Faye Winter and Teddy Soares, who bring dessert to the table.
Tension: Elsewhere, Toby Aromolaran, 22, is still reeling after Hugo Hammond’s recoupling speech, in which Hugo, 24, called Toby’s ditching of Chloe for Abigail Rawlings ‘b**llsh*t’
Toby tells Hugo: ‘That’s not cool bro. I am shocked, that is s**t from you. I’ve asked you your opinions and I am not angry about your opinions. The fact is the way you went about it’
After their meal, Jake and Liberty are sitting on the bean bags when Jake says: ‘I wanted to bring you here and just say how happy you make me to be honest.’
Liberty responds: ‘I’ve never connected with someone the way I have with you, ever. All cards on the table, I don’t think I really knew what love was until I met you.’
Jake then pops the questions, asking: ‘I feel like I’ve found the one. Will you be my girlfriend?’

Elsewhere in the villa, tensions mount between Hugo and Toby after Hugo coupled up with a newly single Chloe during Thursday’s episode, saying in his speech: ‘I would like to couple up with this girl because not only is she out-of-this-world ”bootiful”, she’s super intelligent, she’s funny.
‘If I’m completely honest, she doesn’t deserve to be treated how she has been these past 24 hours, and I firmly believe that a lot of this ”test” stuff is complete b**llsh*t.
‘You deserve someone who’s honest and communicates with you, so the girl I would like to couple up with is Chloe.’
Trying to clear the air: Hugo tells Toby: ‘I still consider you family and I hope that we can get past this’
Chloe’s coupling with Hugo saw Georgia Townsend packing her bags and leaving the villa, and after her exit the Islanders gather in the kitchen to toast to her.
Lucinda Strafford says: ‘Here’s to Georgia – the biggest breath of fresh air in here!’ to which Toby adds: ‘And to finding out two-faced mugs!’
Speaking about his speech in the Beach Hut, Hugo tells the camera: ‘I’m not going to take it back, I fully meant it. Hopefully I can grab Toby and try and smooth things over.’
While Hugo stands by what he said, he asks Toby for a chat in a bid to clear the air.
Happy: Millie could barely stop smiling on her first date outside the villa with Welsh bricklayer Liam
Toby then tells him: ‘That’s not cool bro. I am shocked, that is s**t from you. I’ve asked you your opinions and I am not angry about your opinions. Your opinion is completely valid. The fact is the way you went about it.’
Hugo responds: ‘I still consider you family and I hope that we can get past this.’
Meanwhile, Chloe says in the Beach Hut: ‘Hugo Hammond – like the best person ever. I’ve never had a friend like that. I’m speechless. I couldn’t be more grateful.’
Date time: Love is also in the air for Millie and Liam after she receives a text that reads: ‘Millie and Liam. It’s time for your first date! Please get ready to leave the Villa’
Looking to the future: Liam then asks Millie: ‘How do you think we’d work on the outside?’ To which she replies: ‘I want to know what you think your mum is going to think of me’

Arriving at their date, Liam says: ‘It’s been two and a half weeks now.’
Telling her partner that she feels their romance has ‘moved quickly’, Millie adds: ‘I feel like it has moved very quickly. I was really nervous and shy. As much as I really fancied you, I didn’t think we would have this connection.’
Liam then asks her: ‘How do you think we’d work on the outside?’ To which Millie replies: ‘I want to know what you think your mum is going to think of me.’
Liam sweetly assures her: ‘She’ll definitely love you.’
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
