“They’re trying to sabotage them!” Love Island viewers furious as they accuse show contestants of destroying Ron and Lana’s chance to win amid ‘game-playing’ drama
Love Island fans were outraged on Sunday night’s episode when they accused the contestants of sabotaging Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins.
Financial advisor Ron, 25, confronted Shaq Muhammad, 24, after questioning whether Ron was sincere with makeup artist Lana, 25.
The pair were unimpressed after Shaq suggested they were in the top three most game-playing couples during the recent ranking challenge.
After talking to Shaq, Ron couldn’t let the situation drop later in the episode, talking to Tom, Samie, Kai, and Sanam around the fire pit.
In doing so, he said people thought he and Lana had tried to have “nice and early” on the show before they “got comfortable” and drove to the end.

The group then proceeded to discuss Ron’s comments, with many islanders insisting that Ron had a firm plan to win the show.
Many viewers insisted that was not the case and took to Twitter to defend Ron, with some claiming that his villa co-residents wanted to sabotage them so they would have a better chance of winning the series themselves.
One person wrote, “I really think the whole villa thinks Lana and Ron are going to win so they try to sabotage it by spreading the word that he’s a gamer. Isn’t it funny how all this nagging happens now that they all know it’s coming to an end. They are all desperate to win.’
Someone else shared, “Biggest players out there Sammie and Tom / shaq and troll…. Trying to take down Ron because they’re getting a hint that the public isn’t buying him into Lana.”
Another viewer posted, “First Jesse was accused of playing a game, now it’s Ron’s turn, why don’t these couples just focus on each other and further their love.”
While someone else tweeted, “The Ron game” makes no sense. Ron said as a viewer that he thought people who had early drama and then fizzled out are the players of the game, if that’s the case then why would it be HIS gameplay, which is exactly what’s happening with Lana?”
“Judging by that clip what Ron said wasn’t that bad, I think they all thought he was playing a game from the start and he needed justification,” another viewer shared.
Someone else wrote: ‘I hope Ron freaks out because it’s out of order how all those little slimeballs say everything under the sun behind his back. They were worried about him and Lana winning, so if someone is “Gameplaying”…”
Another person posted, “The way Sammie has spread this whole game plan hoping everyone will turn on Ron and only made it public with him and give him a chance to win.”
While someone else shared, “So Ron is a gamer because he found love and a show made to find love… then how does that work.”
Meanwhile, another show fan posted, “I watched that clip again and Ron didn’t say he was playing a game at all. He says that’s what people think.’
