And every year there are always certain disputes and moments that turn out to be the most controversial of the series, often leading to many Ofcom complaints.

Since its launch in 2015, the ITV2 show has received thousands of complaints each season, with viewers shocked by the treatment of the islanders by producers and each other.

Host Maya Jama WILL RETURN for this year’s series.

She replaced Laura Whitmore in January 2023 to lead the show and is very popular with fans.
