While Laura didn’t specify when she would be next in the villa, she pointed out that she hosts Aftersun on a weekly basis.

A Love Island viewer on Twitter asked: ‘When is @thewhitmore going back to the villa? She’s literally been there once.’

Laura said cheekily: ‘Hosting a weekly live show from London think you’d love it if you watched!

She added jokingly: ‘I have a great roaming package for the aul Spanish text messages on the mo’.

Laura, who welcomed her daughter with husband Iain Stirling in March, previously said she will be “flying back and forth” between the UK and Spain with the toddler.

Love Island fans were stunned when Laura failed to re-enter the villa during Wednesday night’s episode.

The presenter – who is reportedly getting £600,000 to host – has not attended any of the four dumps that have taken place so far and has only seen 12 minutes of the program in the past three weeks.

Laura had to miss part of the first Aftersun show due to quarantine on her return from Spain where the show is being filmed.

Laura took on the role of Love Island presenter for the show’s first winter series, which began in January 2020, weeks after former presenter Caroline Flack was accused of assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton at her London home.

Former MTV presenter Laura, whose husband Iain tells Love Island, admitted she was hesitant to take the job, telling Cosmopolitan UK: ‘I love making live TV.

“I’d worked with most of the crew on I’m A Celebrity…and MTV, so it just felt really comfortable. The show was the easiest.

“It was everything around it that I couldn’t deal with. When I got the call I thought “I need to talk to Iain, I need to talk to Caroline…”. It’s a weird one because you think you should just jump on it.

“You’re obviously very happy that ITV trusts you to do such a great show, but a friend of yours is going through hell too… Caroline had messaged me first to say ‘Hope you get it which was really fun.

“You think, ‘Oh yes, I can do this, but no, this isn’t how I want to do it. It was a really weird way to get a job.”

Caroline died by suicide in February 2020 and Laura stayed on as the regular host of the ITV2 series.
