Louise Thompson has revealed she found her fiancé Ryan Libbey crying alone while watching her video revealing he had a stoma bag fitted.
The former Made In Chelsea star, 34, announced that after years of suffering from ulcerative colitis she had recently undergone the procedure.
Louise said she “didn’t want to hide” her condition and shared a video of herself showing off the bag attached to her stomach.
After posting it online, Louise revealed she “arrested” her partner Ryan, 33, watching the video alone after hearing the video’s music from her bedroom.
Louise found Ryan crying while watching her “powerful” clip and he told her he “needed a moment alone.”

After posting it online, Louise revealed she “arrested” her partner Ryan, 33, watching the video alone after hearing the video’s music playing from her bedroom.

Sharing it online, Louise wrote on Wednesday: “Ryan never cries but just after I posted the advert yesterday I caught him watching the video alone in our room (I heard the song when I opened the door) and saw him crying. He said I needed a moment alone.
“As a result, I was a little teary yesterday in the taxi on the way to the recording studio. But only because he had made him angry. I’m the kind of loser who cries when he sees other people cry.
“Tonight he told me he was proud of me (he’s not a big word man, so it meant a lot because he knew I REALLY meant it). He also said he thought the delivery was perfect. He’s usually pretty reserved, so this felt quite different.
“He’s definitely had a hard time adjusting to all this change. Mainly because he hates that he can’t take the pain away. I think he also feels really sorry for me and my poor, innocent body.
‘I have received many messages from family members of people who are going through something similar, so I know how important it is for loved ones close to someone who is suffering. They also need to be controlled.
‘Anyway, I was quite surprised that I thought it was so powerful because I think I’ve written much more compelling things about my journey. I guess I can share them over the next few weeks as well. As you find the time…and the confidence of course. X’
Louise and Ryan have been together since 2016 and engaged since 2018. They welcomed their son Leo-Hunter, now two, in 2021.
The fitness influencer almost died during the birth of her son Leo and was left with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Earlier this year he spent two weeks in hospital after suffering a flare-up of ulcerative colitis while on holiday with Ryan and Leo.
Louise has been open about her mental health struggles, as well as living with ulcerative colitis, an intestinal disease, and lupus, an autoimmune disease.
Ulcerative colitis is a chronic intestinal condition in which the colon and rectum become inflamed and small ulcers develop on the lining of the colon that may bleed. The condition has no cure, but it can be effectively controlled over time.

Louise admitted she was losing cups of blood “every 20 minutes” during the trip and had to return to the UK early and immediately went to A&E.
The reality personality spent two weeks in the hospital and was fitted with a stoma bag to help her deal with her condition.
Since sharing the news, Louise admitted she has been “overwhelmed” by the response from her followers.
Reflecting on the reaction in a post, Louise said: “I’m actually quite overwhelmed by the response to my video because it seemed like such a simple thing to do.”
But maybe it’s just because I’m numb. It all seems a bit of a piece of cake compared to the complicated path that has led me to this place. Even the response from friends and family has been transcendent.’
