Baby joy! Louise Thompson is expecting a baby with her fiancé Ryan Libbey
Louise shared how she felt since she found out she was pregnant again, admitting she feared history would repeat itself.
In addition to the candid passage, Louise shared photos of herself and Ryan with a baby scan and a pair of little white trainers.
Alongside tearful snapshots, the fitness guru wrote, “Our blessings count. I thought I would have all kinds of creative ways to provide this information, but the truth is, the past 12 weeks have been quite challenging.
Unlike last time, Ryan and I didn’t document our trip at all. I hardly took any photos or videos for fear that something might happen. I’ve felt like DONKEY too.
‘I never knew this kind of fatigue or’ flatness’ existed during pregnancy. There are 0 before and after snaps, no week-to-week transformations or fun reveal videos with friends and family leading a trail of buns to an oven, instead there’s a drawer filled with 10,000,000x billion gazillion pregnancy tests (shameless and expensive ) and some sensitive conversations where we try not to get too excited.
Tearful: The former Made In Chelsea star, 31, wrote a heartfelt announcement revealing she was 12 weeks pregnant on Tuesday.
“I’d be lying if I said it’s been an easy ride, but the truth is, I think poor Ryan found it even harder than I did.
“I am absolutely lucky to have such a sensitive partner and I feel safe knowing that you are going to be the best dad in the world.
‘Now we have reached this hopeful milestone. I am very happy to be able to share our great news with you.
‘I want to try to relax a smile and enjoy the journey, knowing it will be over in the blink of an eye.
‘The truth is, I may have waited a little longer to share it, but I don’t think I could have hid the news much longer as there is absolutely ZERO space left in this short five-foot torso for a growing bump , except to push out MASSIVE, which means it will be very difficult to hide … I’ve already received a few comments.
“I already look like a car with a wide load (Ryan’s words are not mine and, incidentally, just the kind of humor I need to get through the next 6 months).
Now that it’s out in the open I’d like to get your advice when I need it because so many things are happening to my body that NO ONE IS ABOUT.
‘Hormones are absolutely insane and pregnancy in combination with ulcerative colitis is a big bummer and most of all fear-inducing.
‘Who has been there? I’ve always had a strong belief that women are superhuman for what they have to put up with, and now I have even more reason to stay behind that. L&R ❤️
In March, Louise revealed she suffered a ‘devastating’ miscarriage earlier this year in a heartbreaking Instagram post.
She posted a photo to her social media with a small baby bump and another photo of her positive pregnancy test.
Devastating news: Louise revealed she suffered a ‘devastating’ miscarriage earlier this year in a heartbreaking Instagram post in March
Louise explained that she and her fiancé Ryan lost their baby shortly after finding out they were expecting their first child.
The TV personality explained that she “had no idea it was possible to love someone I had never met so often” and said that fertility can be a “tough and overwhelming ride.”
Louise said her ‘whole world changed’ the moment she saw the positive pregnancy test and she began to build an ’emotional connection’ with her baby – but she now acknowledges that it ‘wasn’t meant to be’.

She wrote: ‘I wanted to share my story because it could help someone, but for the first time in my life I am actually a little lost for words.
Maybe it’s because I feel like I have so much to say and I don’t want to waste this opportunity or because I’m not sure I’ve already processed it 100%, but either way, there won’t be a ‘perfect’ time so here it goes, I’ll do my best.
“I’ve always been taught that a problem shared is a problem in half, and I pass that mantra on to others, always encouraging people to talk, talk, talk, so it’s time to practice what I preach.”
She continued: ‘It may seem like everywhere you look on Instagram people are loved, no matter how happy they are, getting engaged, buying their first home, having intimate weddings, getting their dream job, announcing pregnancies and other memorable occasions!
Happy couple: Louise is engaged to personal trainer and former Made In Chelsea co-star Ryan, with whom she has been in a relationship since 2016 (pictured)
Difficult: She said she “had no idea it was possible to love someone I’d never met so much,” while talking about how fertility can be a “rough and overwhelming ride.”
‘I know my page is currently being bombarded with those things, the algorithm hits me HARD, and it can be hard to see.
‘For some people the last 12 months have offered some really exciting prospects and I am genuinely happy for all those people (because there is no shortage of good things in this world – there is plenty to do) and it is VERY important to be happy for people.
‘I also had fantastic opportunities in the past year for which I am grateful to Vvv.
But while all these incredible things happen to people, there’s also a lot of S ** T happening behind closed doors – a side you might not see.
‘I have always chosen to be transparent on this platform because I know how much I value authenticity in other people.
Opening Up: She explained her experience in the long post, sharing resources for others who were going through the same
‘And I think it’s SUPER important that we talk about our struggles and our victories so people don’t think everyone around them (especially those on social media) lives in LaLa fantasy land, where only good things happen.’
Louise continued: “Another reason why I want to tell you what happened earlier this year.
‘I don’t know why I feel the need to keep justifying this post, I certainly don’t, I think I’m a little scared because it’s so raw and a little bit out of my comfort zone.
“I think it’s also because there’s no easy way to say it, nor a way to sugarcoat it, but earlier this year we lost our baby and it was HARD.
Louise said her “whole world changed” the moment she saw the positive pregnancy test and began to build an “emotional connection” with her baby.
She wrote: ‘To be honest, I had no idea it was possible to love someone I had never met so MUCH.
Loved-up: Louise has been dating Ryan since 2016, and the couple announced their engagement in August 2018
From the moment I saw the lines on the pregnancy test, I started building an emotional connection and my whole world changed, and taking that away was devastating.
One of my dear customers even sent me a quote from Winnie The Pooh saying ‘sometimes the smallest things take up the most space in your heart’, and I think she hit the nail on the head.
“This whole fertility affair can be a RAW and OVERVIEWING RIDE – if you know, you know, but it is NOT you and WILL NEVER BE alone.” ‘
She continued: ‘After opening up to some friends, I realized that there are quite a few others who have been through something similar.
“I found it very reassuring to talk to them about their experiences of loss and grief, and I also found it incredibly reassuring to learn that there isn’t really much you can do to prevent it from happening.
‘I don’t feel any guilt or blame for what happened to me. It just wasn’t meant to be, and hopefully it will create space for something beautiful in the future. ”
Ahead: Louise and Ryan appeared on the reality series Made in Chelsea together before leaving the show to pursue other opportunities
Louise signed off by sharing resources for others going through baby loss to help her fans go through similar situations.
She added: ‘I know I’m wandering tonight so I’ll be sharing some more helpful bits tomorrow, but for now, if you guys have any good resources you’d like to share for others, feel free to post them in the comments below .
‘I’ve seen the @miscarriageassociation keep pregnancy loss support groups above the hem for those who want to talk / be heard. And @ Tommys is a great charity that funds research into preventing baby loss. ”
Louise has been dating personal trainer Ryan since 2016, and the couple announced their engagement in August 2018.
