Louis Tomlinson has sent a heartfelt message to his fans after they were forced to flee his concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado after being pelted with golf ball sized hail.
The One Direction star, 31, was due to perform at the outdoor venue on Wednesday night, but the show was canceled when up to 100 people required medical attention due to injuries from inclement weather.
According to West Metro Fire Rescueseven people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and another 80 to 90 people were treated at the scene.
Louis has now said it was ‘devastating to see so many people affected’ and wrote that he hoped anyone injured was on the mend.
He wrote: “Sending all my love to everyone affected by the extreme weather conditions at Red Rocks last night. Hope everyone got home safely and all injured are on the mend, it was devastating to see so many of you affected.

Some fans took to Twitter to claim the hailstorm left them with broken fingers and hands, while footage from the scene showed others being treated by medics.
Shocking footage also showed the huge hailstones littering the outdoor theater, while Louis tweeted he was “devastated” the show had been cancelled.
One fan tweeted: ‘Tonight was the scariest night of my life. It started hailing people in Red Rocks and my sister and I luckily found shelter under a sign.
“I’m bleeding and have huge bumps on my head from the hail. Hope everyone made it out safe and sound.
Another fan replied, “I’m so sorry. We just left the same show. I have a broken hand from hail.

One viewer tweeted an image of a large chunk of hail in his hand while another shared a video of hail and flooding rolling down a flight of stairs on the site, writing that it was “straight out of a horror movie”.
Another wrote: ‘Golf ball sized hail. Turns out it hurts. A little. Sorry your first gig at Red Rocks was ruined @Louis_Tomlinson.’
Louis’ show had already been delayed when the heavy hail started, and although it was given the green light to continue at 8:35 p.m., it was delayed again just before 9:15 p.m.
Eventually, at 10:25 p.m., the venue tweeted, “Tonight’s show has been officially postponed.” Please exit the amphitheater safely – we will have more information for ticket holders soon.
One viewer told local Fox affiliate KDVR that she and her friends took refuge in a toilet cubicle for more than an hour before the show was finally canceled, while another said she believed her finger had been broken by hail.
“Literally the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced,” said one.
‘I should have canceled at the first delay. Absolutely ridiculous. Louis must be livid,” wrote another.

Barely! Many fans tweeted that they were hurt after the shocking weather, with one describing it as the “scariest night of their lives”.
Another posted: “Scariest hailstorm I’ve ever been caught in. This show should have been canceled an hour ago.”
Louis’ team then shared a statement on their official Twitter, writing, “Unfortunately, due to current weather events in the area, tonight’s show at Red Rocks has been postponed.” All ticket holders will be updated in due course.
The singer then took to Twitter to write, “Devastated by the show tonight, hope everyone is doing well, I’ll be back!”
