Louis Theroux chopped off his fingertip during a cooking accident.
The documentary filmmaker, 49, had to bond Saturday night after having an accident while chopping a red onion.
The journalist shared a snapshot of his injury on Instagram while looking rather bleak.

He explained that he made a Jamie Oliver carrot and coriander pancake recipe when he cut the top of his finger.
The father of three said he ‘went pale and had to lie down’ after the accident.
He admitted, “Family unimpressed by my lack of stoicism. I honestly too.

“I still haven’t found the missing piece of finger.”
In the comments below the post, TV presenter Matt Baker quipped, “I think the recipe says ginger, not a finger.”
Louis appeared on the Graham Norton Show on Friday night and promoted his new podcast Grounded in which he interviews celebrities.
He also discussed how he was one of the first journalists to spotlight Joe Exotic, the big cat breeder who came to the fore in the Netflix series Tiger King.
Exotic appeared in Louis’s documentary America’s Most Dangerous Pets in 2011.

While filming, Louis touched the now 57-year-old’s sex life with his two husbands, who were 20 and 31 years old at the time of their marriage.
The flamboyant zoo keeper had a three-way marriage to Travis Maldonado and John Finlay in 2014.
John was 31 at the time, while Travis was only 20, while Joe was decades older at 51.
Both spouses had started working at the zoo for just 19 years – John in 2003 and Travis in 2013.
Joe told the journalist that the men avoided jealous by making love in a group involving all three at all times, The Weekend Australian reported on Saturday.
“It works great,” Joe told Louis at the time, “because we’re all too tired to have sex.”
