Sharon Stone’s story about being told to evacuate her Los Angeles home during the infamous 1994 OJ Simpson police chase has been refuted by LAPD officers.
The Basic Instinct actress, 65, recently said Fashion magazine that the police called her home and told her to evacuate right then.
“(They said) it’s dangerous, and we don’t know how dangerous, and we don’t know what this is,” he recalled to the publication.
But TMZ reported Friday that David Gascon, a commander in the LAPD’s Media Relations department in the mid-1990s, does not remember that happening.
Tom Lange also denied the claim, saying he had never heard such a story before the article was published.

He also questioned what motive the soccer star would have had for pursuing Stone, who said she was taken to a hotel after the chase.
Lange speculated that Sharon’s mention of the ordeal could have to do with the 30th anniversary in June.
TMZ was also in contact with a retired LAPD officer who was not identified.
The person had not heard of the actress’ claim and did not know why Simpson, who had no connection to the mermaid, would think of going after her.
At the time of the televised police chase, Stone was living on a public access street in Los Angeles without security.
She told the magazine: “As OJ was driving down the highway, (the police) were saying, ‘Find a safe house behind a gate.'”
He explained that once he moved in, one officer stood near the front desk and another guarded his door, although no further details were revealed about his connection, if any, to Simpson.
Shortly after, Sharon moved into a house in a gated community.

Her co-star Michael Douglas, now 79, is believed to have received $14 million.
