A Sports Illustrated swimsuit model is leaving California for Tennessee after the mayor of Los Angeles launched a campaign asking the wealthy to help fund housing for the homeless.

Kristen Louelle Gaffney, married to NFL star Tyler Gaffney, said she’s tired of shelling out tax dollars that do little to alleviate the housing crisis.

The model, a mother of three, says she has no intention of supporting Mayor Karen Bass’s LA4LA program, which launched earlier this week.

“Frankly, I feel a little taken advantage of when I, too, had to fight and create my own opportunities through hard work and education,” Gaffney, a San Diego resident, told Fox.

‘Why should anyone have a piece of my hard work?’

Bass called on the “more fortunate” to help fund “affordable” long-term housing for its homeless population of 46,000 amid the growing epidemic.

But Gaffney, who counts Olivia Culpo among her close friends, complained that California residents are already doing enough to help without seeing much progress.

“The more we claim, and I use the word claim very strongly, that we are helping these people, the situation seems to get worse,” he added, placing the blame on Governor Gavin Newsom, as well as Joe Biden.

You’ve already taken enough from us and you’re only showing me that it’s getting worse.

‘Homelessness in Los Angeles, there is nothing like it. I’ve been to the East Coast, I’ve been to the West Coast, I’ve been to the Bay Area. “This is the dirtiest thing I have seen in our cities.”

But Gaffney expressed skepticism about how this money is spent given the scenes taking place in Los Angeles and California.

Video taken earlier this week showed how some homeless people in the City of Los Angeles are now congregating along a busy highway in ramshackle houses, with front doors, hammocks and electric lights powered by “stolen” energy. .

“We’re constantly giving,” Gaffney said. ‘What more do you want from us?’

He added that single-parent families, veterans and the elderly should be given priority in housing.

“Drug addicts should be last on the list,” he said. ‘We should focus on the people who need help. Yes, but let’s create more opportunities and fewer systems that are distributed and that people are taking full advantage of.
