Lorraine Kelly hit back at an internet troll who took to social media on Wednesday to comment on her appearance.
The TV presenter, 63, took the insult on the chin when she responded with a witty joke, with fans praising her for assuring ‘not to notice’.
Writing that she “needs a makeover,” the Twitter user described the presenter’s hair as “terrible,” suggesting she had it cut shorter.
But when she noticed the post and decided to respond, Lorraine clapped back that she didn’t want to change her look — joking that she looks like Castaway’s Wilson The Volleyball with a shorter do’.
‘I really think Lorraine needs a makeover, hair is awful. I’m surprised no one has mentioned this time for a shortcut Lorraine,” the user wrote.

As Lorraine’s quote tweeted the post, replying, “Well good morning Cathy – only problem – if I have short hair I look like Wilson from “Castaway” (if you know you know)”.
The look she was referring to is that of an iconic ball with a red face-like shape printed on it from the 2000 American survival drama film – with the outline resembling an updo.
But since Lorraine was quick to laugh and joke about it, many fans were unimpressed by the nasty comment.
‘Wow. Nasty person. You look amazing,” one follower wrote.
As another ranted, “I don’t think you should bother answering Lorraine. By the way, you look fantastic, but I’m so tired of women being reduced to judging their looks and not their skills and general awesomeness.”
But when a fan asked what it had to do with anyone else, the original user replied, “Well, really, it’s everyone’s business when she’s hosting a show. Our opinion counts’.
It’s because Lorraine took some time off from her daytime TV show last week while battling a “horrible bug.”
Ranvir Singh filled in for Lorraine in her absence, telling viewers she was ‘still recovering’ after suffering a ‘horrible bug’.

On Wednesday’s TV morning, Kate Garraway briefed viewers on the latest line-up change and praised Ranvir for agreeing to step in and host the morning chat show.
Announcing the news, Kate explained: “Usually we would talk to Lorraine at this point in the show but I think she’s almost gone home for the first time in her 30+ year history, things aren’t going well with her.
‘She’s got a bug! We wish you the best Lorraine. Ranvir comes to the rescue, she’s on her way in.”
Lorraine took to Twitter to reveal she was sent home after being “suddenly attacked by a hideous bug.”
She shared her disappointment when she admitted that she had been looking forward to interviewing guest Adam Lambert but was unable to due to fear of “infecting” him.
She wrote, “When you have to be sent home from work early in the morning because you’re suddenly attacked by a horrible bug and you’re looking forward to interviewing @adamlambert THAT! More than disappointed but imagine if I had infected him!!!!!!’
