But despite 40 years of TV success under her belt, Lorraine Kelly has revealed she still struggles with “working class shame” when attending glitzy showbiz events.

The presenter, 65, has revealed in a new interview that despite her fame she has not forgotten her roots: ‘I don’t even know if I have confidence.

“I still have a little bit of that working-class shame, where you think that if you’re somewhere fancy, someone will tap you on the shoulder and say, ‘Sorry, you’ll have to leave.'”

In a new interview with Women’s Weekly, Lorraine added that she has always been grateful to her parents for instilling in her an appreciation for the written word, having grown up in a working-class home where money was scarce.

He added: “That was probably the best gift my mom and dad could have given me.” We may not have been rich in terms of money, but we are rich in terms of education, culture and appreciation of books.’

Reflecting on the interview that left her most surprised, Lorraine named Oprah Winfrey as the star she was most nervous about talking to.

She said: ‘I loved talking to Oprah Winfrey. I was so nervous because obviously she’s the queen of everything, but she couldn’t have been nicer. She calmed me down; That’s supposed to be my job. “She was fantastic and very professional.”

While she’s certainly a pro when it comes to interviewing big stars on her show, in recent months Lorraine has taken a bold new step into the world of social media.

The Scottish television presenter has presented several television shows for ITV, including Good Morning Britain, This Morning and her eponymous show Lorraine.

But now she is hoping to become a TikTok sensation and has enlisted the help of Gogglebox star Joe Baggs, 27, who has been giving her advice on how to run the app.

He’s even started learning the slang, including Rizz (charm), Cap (lies), and GRWM (Get ready with me).

she said The mirror: “I like to stay up to date with all the social media trends and it was great to learn all about TikTok from Joe, who knows what he’s doing and is also great company and a lot of fun.”

Lorraine is being tested for a new series on her ITV show Lorraine, which sees some of TV’s experts face a series of new challenges.

Joe even provided Lorraine with a TikTok starter kit that comes complete with a selfie light and Lorraine asked, ‘Does that make you look younger?’

It comes as Lorraine angrily criticized the “toxic” TV industry and Gregg Wallace’s “appalling behaviour” in a fiery rant.

MasterChef presenter Gregg, 60, is currently under investigation over a series of allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour, including that of Newsnight presenter Kirsty Wark, and resigned as presenter of the hit BBC cooking show in November.

The Scottish star held nothing back in a new interview in which he spoke of an “abuse of power” that “should never happen.”

He added: ‘But how dare the people around them allow and allow them to behave like this? It’s horrible, toxic and disgusting. I don’t have time for people who abuse their power.
