Cult mother Lori Vallow has been indicted by a grand jury in Arizona on conspiracy to murder her nephew.
Brandon Boudreaux was targeted at a property he lived in in 2019 after dropping his kids off at school.
Boudreaux survived the failed hit after the bullet ripped through the driver’s door of his Tesla in Gilbert, Arizona, in October of that year.

Authorities have now charged cult killer Vallow in connection with the attempted murder of Boudreaux – her cousin-in-law.
The counts against Vallow read: ‘On or about October 2, 2019, with intent to promote or assist the commission of a crime.
Lori Vallow, agreed with Alexander Cox that at least one of them would be guilty of conduct amounting to first-degree murder.
The state further alleges that the crime charged in this count is a dangerous crime because the crime involved the firing, use, or threatening display of a gun, deadly weapon, or dangerous device.
“And/or intentionally or knowingly causing grievous bodily harm to Brandon Bourdreaux.”
At the time, Boudreaux was in divorce talks with his estranged wife Melani, the mother of his four children and Vallow’s niece.
Ryan Pillar, a detective with the Gilbert Police Department, told the courthouse at Vallow’s trial that her brother Alex Cox was behind the attempted attack on Boudreaux.
Pillar explained to the jurors how they quickly identified Cox as their prime suspect when they discovered that the Jeep Wrangler he was driving was involved in another shooting.
Had the hit on Boudreaux succeeded, Melani – who was part of their cult – would have received $200,000 in life insurance. In the end, she got $300,000 from their divorce settlement.

Last week, Vallow was found guilty of the murder of her two children and conspiracy to kill her husband’s ex-wife after a five-week trial.
Lori’s children – seven-year-old JJ and 16-year-old Tylee – disappeared in September 2019.
Their mother, newly in love with Doomsday cult enthusiast Chad Daybell, avoided questions and evaded authorities.
She fled to Hawaii and refused to tell the police where were her children, or answering all sorts of questions, not just about her children, but about the vast web of death and deceit that seemed to engulf her family.
After the verdict, it turned out that after her conviction, she will be sent to Arizona to face charges of conspiracy to kill her fourth husband, Charles Vallow.
He was shot dead in July 2019 by Alex Cox, brother of Lori Vallow, who died of natural causes five months later.

The 49-year-old was emotionless as the verdict was read today in Boise, Idaho. Her defense team did not call any witnesses or provide an explanation for how the children died

The bizarre case attracted national attention in 2019 after the children disappeared. It was another nine months before their bodies were discovered in shallow graves in Chad Daybell’s backyard.
JJ was suffocated with a plastic bag, while Tylee’s corpse was so badly burned and dismembered that it’s still not clear how she was killed.
An autopsy — which Daybell had denied the night she died — shows she had died of asphyxia, the same cause of death that would later be determined for JJ.
Vallow was finally arrested in Hawaii in February 2020 – five months after JJ and Tylee were last seen alive.
The children would not be found for another four months.
Jurors heard prosecutor Lindsey Blake describe how charred remains were all that was left of Tylee.
She told jurors, “You’ll hear it explained as a mass of bone and tissue. That’s what was left of this beautiful young woman.’
JJ’s body was wrapped in garbage bags and duct tape – the tape tied his arms in front of him and wrapped around his head. He had suffocated in a plastic bag.
Daybell’s two children and previous wife, Tammy, were all killed for getting in the way of the couple’s relationship, the state said.

“Remember, the defendant will remove any obstacle to get what she wants, and she wanted Chad Daybell,” Blake told the jurors.
“The defendant used money, power and sex to get what she wanted.”
Chad Daybell’s trial has been suspended.
Following the verdict, Boudreaux released a statement saying, “Our judicial process cannot bring back loved ones, nor can it heal those left behind who miss them.
We will choose to lean on our faith for healing and express gratitude to the jury of our colleagues who had to face these terrible things to reach a resolution.
“While we do not boast of any belief, we recognize the importance of holding accountable those alleged to perpetrate such appalling atrocities.
Tylee and JJ will be forever missed. They are precious and unique and will always be loved.’
