The Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood has confirmed that he has quietly married his long-time partner Mette-Marie Kongsved.

The couple, who have been romantically linked since 2018, share a son born in 2019 and a daughter born in 2022.

She was previously married to director Evan Louis Katz, but they separated in 2016.
