The festive event comes after Coleen shared a heartbreaking update about her sister’s cancer battle live on Loose Women in October.

The former singer revealed that her sister Linda Nolan, 65, ‘doesn’t want to know how much time she has left’ as she continues to battle breast cancer.

The Loose Women panelist was inspired to speak openly about her sister’s condition after Sir Chris Hoy announced her cancer was terminal.

He explained that after losing a sister, Bernie, to cancer in 2013, he understood how the Olympic cyclist’s family felt.

She told viewers that her sister doesn’t want to know how much time she has left and is trying to enjoy the rest of her life.

She said: “I meet my sister Linda at the moment, who has been amazing and continues to be amazing, I am in awe of her every day.”

But I know that for her, one of the things she doesn’t want to know is how much time she has left. Because she feels that once she’s given that prognosis, it will probably make her stop trying to live.’

In a candid confession, Coleen explained that her sister was still in treatment and was trying to stay as positive as possible.

He added: “At the moment, she’s still getting treatment and that’s what’s keeping her alive, you know, ‘as long as they keep treating me, I’ll keep going.’

But despite her positive attitude, the presenter revealed that her sister had gone through darker times and thought about what life will be like when she is no longer here.

In an effort to combat this, Coleen said she wants to do everything she can and has brought forward her plans to ensure she enjoys every day.

“But she says more often than now, she says things like ‘well no, let’s do it this week because I might not be here next week.’

“Or he’ll say he’s doing more now because he’s ‘living every day like it’s my last day’ and ‘maybe I don’t have tomorrow,’ so that mindset has changed.” she said.

The Nolans star was cleared of breast cancer in 2006, but was then diagnosed with an incurable secondary cancer in 2017.

Linda previously posted an update that the tumors in her brain, which were thought to be stable, have grown.

Appearing on GMB in August, Linda revealed that she is undergoing a new chemotherapy treatment as a result of the update and shared the news that she could face losing her hair for the fifth time.

He also revealed the physical toll the ongoing treatment was taking on his smile, pointing to a gap in his teeth and exclaiming: ‘Look, I’ve lost a tooth!’

Linda’s sisters also have a history of cancer; she, Coleen and Anne received diagnoses.

During her interview on the breakfast show, she said: “I’m actually like everyone else, I just want it all to go away,” Linda said of the prevalence of cancer in her family. Or leave us alone at least for a while.

“You would have a right to feel anger at the universe because your family has been cursed by the big C,” host Richard Madeley told Linda, before asking her if she is angry at how this has affected her family.

She responded: “I asked Bernie once and someone said, ‘Have you ever thought about why me?’ and she said, ‘No, I think why not.’ She doesn’t pick and choose.

‘You can’t write your name and say you’re next in line. But we have had a bad time.”

Linda then revealed that her stepson Lloyd was also recently diagnosed with cancer.

“He said, ‘It’s a marathon, not a sprint,’ so I said, ‘Well, I feel like I’m getting faster every day.’

The singer was first diagnosed with stage three breast cancer in 2005 before getting the all-clear in 2006. But in 2017 she was diagnosed with an incurable form of secondary cancer in her hip, which spread to her liver in 2020.

Last year, she shared the news that the cancer had spread to her brain, with two tumors discovered on the left side of her brain that left her struggling with her speech and balance.

However, while the disease seemed stable in Linda’s recent updates, her latest prognosis has revealed the devastating news that two of her largest tumors have increased in size, while more cancer spots have been found.
