Florida officials have released footage of the moment a large kangaroo is seen hopping around an apartment complex.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call made by a woman who saw the kangaroo jumping around the pool at her complex in north Tampa on February 8.
In the black and white footage, the elusive kangaroo is seen hopping across the apartment complex’s pool deck.
During this, the dispatcher is heard asking, ‘911, do you need police, fire or medical attention?’
But the confused woman responds: ‘I guess the police. There is a kangaroo in my apartment complex.

In a Facebook post, the Bureau confirmed that its Agricultural Unit was able to reunite the animal with its owner after proper ownership records were verified.
A few seconds later, a bewildered officer is heard saying: “Actually, I see a kangaroo.” We locked him in the pool door area.
In the footage, officials are seen surrounding the kangaroo as the large marsupial continues to jump around the pool.

According to researchers, kangaroos are native to Australia and Papua New Guinea and are not found naturally anywhere else in the world.
The marsupial, typically 6 feet and 2,000 pounds, is usually found in troops or packs made up of about 50 other kangaroos.
Because of their large paws, kangaroos can jump about 30 feet in a single bound and travel at more than 30 miles per hour.
Black Wallaroos, weighing around 20kg, are the smallest species of kangaroo.
