Police are looking for an Arizona teenager who disappeared after getting into a car with a middle-aged man.

An AMBER Alert was issued on Tuesday for 16-year-old Kaleb Gardner Smith from Holbrook.

Police say Caleb went for a run in the morning and contacted his family via messenger shortly after, but never returned home and never showed up for work.

A security camera outside Holbrook High School – where Kaleb is a student – showed him around 7 a.m. in a rented black Dodge Charger with Tennessee license plates.

Police believe the teen may be in the company of an unidentified white man in his 50s or 60s with balding hair.

Several of Caleb’s relatives have made pleas for information about his whereabouts on social media.

His sister, Ashleigh Pedersen, said the police know the name of the suspect who apparently rented the car that Caleb got into.

She did not say whether the man is known to the family.

“If you are or know someone who is [in Arizona] and see is my (bigger than me) brother or this vehicle let me or my mother know! We just want him to be found and safe! Pedersen wrote in a Facebook post about the AMBER Alert.

Caleb is described at 5’7 “and about 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen in a red shirt and black shorts.
