A popular candy sold in IKEA stores across the country has been pulled from shelves over concerns about hidden allergens.

An urgent recall has been issued for Gott & Blandat Original Jelly Candy 160g and 550g found at IKEA across Australia.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ) explained that the recall was due to the presence of undeclared allergens, including wheat and gluten, in the jelly candy.

“Any consumer who has an allergy or intolerance to wheat and gluten may have a reaction if they consume the product,” FSANZ said in a statement.

The candies were removed from all 10 IKEA stores in Queensland, New South Wales, ACT, Victoria and Western Australia on Tuesday after the company was notified about the labeling error.

The candies were removed from the shelves of all 10 IKEA stores nationwide. Customers are urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The Gott & Blandat Original 160g bags dated August 8, 2025 and the 550g bag dated July 22, 2025 are included in the recall.

Anyone who has consumed candy and has concerns about their health should consult a doctor.

Customers must return products to the place of purchase for a full refund.

“We are offering a full refund to any customer who purchased Gott & Blandat Original Jelly Candy 160g and 550g from IKEA Australia within the dates marked in the recall notice,” an IKEA spokesperson said.
