A woman had her car stolen in broad daylight by a man posing as a tow truck driver.
Mako Shanks had parked his car outside the Grand Plaza shopping centre in Browns Plains, Logan, south of Brisbane, on Tuesday and discovered it missing when he emerged an hour later.
While inside the shops, a truck driver hitched his bronze Holden Commodore sedan to the back of his unregistered and unmarked truck and simply drove off with it.
A passerby noticed that something was wrong and filmed the Commodore being dragged away.
The Commodore’s front bumper was torn off when the truck swerved and the car crashed into a utility pole.
Mrs. Shanks attacked the thief, while her car remains missing.
“Get a fucking job. You’re nothing but a scoundrel,” he told him. Seven News.
“It’s heartbreaking because you go to work, you sweat blood, you work for what you have, and some criminal takes it from you.”

Ms Shanks filed a police report but her car has yet to be found.
He was last seen on Chambers Flat Road in Browns Plains.
Queensland Police said investigations are continuing.
