Unbeaten, 12-times five-division boxing superstar Mayweather will face Paul in an event originally scheduled for February but postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“This whole thing is surreal. All about it. I told my manager and we kind of had an inside joke that I didn’t think this fight was going on until I got in the ring with him,” Paul said in a press release. “But I think it’s safe to say I can believe it now. I think it happens. It’s fight week. I can’t imagine Floyd pulling back now, but who knows? Old man fakes an injury. Gets scared of the big boy. I’m excited.’
The exhibition nature of the fight means Mayweather’s impeccable record in the ring will not be affected if he loses the match, while Paul’s 0-1 history will remain the same even if he wins.

Mayweather is rumored to be making in the region of $100 million from the fight and has described it as a “legal bank robbery,” with many expecting the boxing legend to make light work of Paul.
However, Paul has revealed that Sunday’s showdown in Miami is much more than an exhibition — and insisted Mayweather won’t “fight so easily.”
Jake and Mayweather were involved in a brawl leading up to the Mayweather v Logan Paul fight, when Jake stole the 44-year-old’s hat before a scuffle erupted.
Paul’s only previous professional fight was a defeat to fellow YouTuber KSI in November 2019, which he lost by split decision in Los Angeles.

Considered one of the greatest boxers of all time, Mayweather announced in 2019 that he will be “retiring in 2020.
He also said he was interested in a future meeting with Paul’s brother, Jake Paul.
“If Jake Paul can get past his next opponent Ben Askren, I’ll have an exhibition with him too.”
In April, Paul defeated former MMA fighter Ben Askren by technical knockout in the first round.
