Lizzo has threatened to quit her singing career after being cruelly shamed online.
The Juice hitmaker, 35, was exasperated after seeing a nasty comment online from author Layah Heilpern who read: ‘How is Lizzo still so fat when she’s constantly moving so much on stage?! I wonder what she should eat.
Lizzo is known for being a body positive advocate and a proud plus size fashion icon – launching an inclusive shapewear line in 2022.
Reposting the comment, Lizzo wrote: ‘I just logged in and the app and this is the type of shit I see on me on a daily basis. It’s really starting to make me hate the world.
‘Then someone in the comments said I ate “lots of fast food” I LITERALLY STOPD EATING FAST FOOD YEARS AGO…I’m sick of explaining myself all the time and want to just access this app without seeing my name in some bulls**t.

The star added that she ‘hated’ Twitter and said ‘this is what my body looks like when I eat healthy and work out’.
She added: You really need to touch the grass… I’m not trying to BE fat, I’m not trying to BE smaller, I’m literally trying to live and be healthy.
“This is what my body looks like even when I’m eating super clean and working out!” You talk shit, you don’t know what’s going on and I start to warm up
‘I HATE HERE
‘Love sure doesn’t outweigh hate on social media…all because I’m fat???? It’s crazy
“You have no idea how close I am to abandoning everyone and quitting and enjoying my money and my man in a F*****G FARM…
‘I literally NEVER look up my name, this stuff just popped up on my TL and my FYP, it’s wild. I swear I just wanna watch dance videos and science news and this shit happens everyday…’
‘ALSO: to people who haven’t had an original thought or fresh air in years… BEING FAT IS NOT MY ‘BRAND’ BEING FAT IS WHAT MY BODY LOOKS FOR. THAT’S IT. THAT’S ALL. My “brand” is FEEL GOOD MUSIC My “brand” is CHAMPIONING ALL PEOPLE My “brand” is BLACK GIRL LIBERATION
‘I’ve always led with my TALENT… But when I quit Good As Hell good music was ‘cheesy’ When I quit Juice disco pop wasn’t ‘for them’ When I was body positive in 2016, being body positive was “folding over” Now everybody on that wave and I’m still on it? ! dude fuck you
The furious star’s rant also continued on social media platforms as she took to Instagram with a plethora of sultry snaps captioned: “I hate everyone today.”

She also posted a video of her hitting trolls at a recent gig, captioned, “I WILL NEVER SHUT YOU UP ABOUT HOW DIFFICULT YOU MAKE FOR FAT PEOPLE TO JUST EXIST.” MINDING YOUR BUSINESS IS *FREE*
“IF THE INTERNET WAS LIMITED AND A COMMENT TOOK 24 HOURS TO POST, I WONDER WHAT SOCIAL MEDIA WILL BE ABOUT.”
Fans quickly rallied around the star following the cruel comment, with one writing to Heilpern: “So ugly for that.” Like in your soul. Lizzo is a goddess and absolutely perfect. Can you play the flute for hours, sing and dance at the same time? I did not mean it.
Another wrote: “It is a universal truth that people who criticize others criticize themselves 10 times more. Leave Lizzo alone and then see how your own life improves. You will be surprised.’
One fan wrote: ‘People can be so mean and there’s not much you can do not to see all of this’. you are a human being with feelings at the end of the day and i can’t imagine how hard it is to have strangers talking about your body when you are so much more than that.
Others wrote: ‘You all need to leave @lizzo ALONE and control your grossophobia. Not all lean bodies are healthy and not all healthy bodies are lean. Let us live our lives with the bodies given to us and keep the hate to yourself.
Last month, an internet troll tried to shame Lizzo via Twitter, as a nude photo the singer shared on Instagram in 2021 resurfaced.
The Juice hitmaker shared the post, which is an unedited image without any clothing, as part of a self-esteem social media campaign.

Support: Fans rallied around the star as she hit back at social media trolling

Cheeky: Lizzo is seen posing in a thong swimsuit earlier this year
But as he was making the rounds on Twitter again, a fan tweeted a photo of herself next to Lizzo, trying to shame her by asking “me or Lizzo?”
Seemingly backfiring, many fans rallied in support of the singer by simply replying with her name instead of the troll’s.
And it looked like Lizzo herself was keen to vote, simply tweeting her own name as the drama unfolded.
The image started circulating on Twitter again after two years as a user shared a snapshot from an article that said Lizzo was “changing the standard of beauty”, writing above: “Thank you, but my beauty standards remain unchanged”.
This response prompted many other trolls to also take an interest in the singer, who proudly talked about being plus size.
But it was the comparison tweet that appeared to go viral, with the user placing a picture of herself next to the nude photo and asking which the audience preferred.
In a blowback, many took to the replies section to show their support for Lizzo, with one replying: ‘Lizzo any day’, while another added: ‘N’ any day and EVERY day”.
“Lizzo. Gal has talents,” added a third.
And in a tweet that seemed too timely to be a coincidence, the hitmaker herself tweeted “Lizzo.”

Troll: But as he was making the rounds on Twitter again this week, a fan tweeted a picture of herself next to Lizzo’s, trying to shame her by asking “Me or Lizzo?”
Hilariously, this prompted a slew of brands to tweet their own names – including the official Kikkoman USA page, which wrote: “Soy Sauce”.
In a previous interview with vogueLizzo revealed that she would rather be known for being ‘body normative’ than ‘body positive’.
She said: “I think it’s lazy for me to just say I’m body positive at this point…I’d like to be body normative.” I want to normalize my body.’
The star also added that she was ready to continue paving the way for ‘girls with back fat’ and ‘girls with hanging bellies’ saying, ‘I owe the people who started this to not not stop here.
“We need to make people feel uncomfortable again, so we can keep changing. Change is always uncomfortable, isn’t it?
