Athos Salomé, 37, a Brazilian parapsychologist, warned that AI is destined to progress

Living Nostradamus has warned that AI is set to progress “beyond human control” and claimed that natural disasters will increase in the coming months.

Athos Salome, 37, a trained parapsychologist from Brazil, is often considered a psychic due to the accuracy of his insights and predictions, having previously foreseen the coronavirus pandemic, the death of Queen Elizabeth II and asteroids heading towards Earth.

As artificial intelligence is implemented in many industries, some scientists have warned that the technology could spiral out of control.

Speaking exclusively to FEMAIL, Salomé said: ‘AI has advanced significantly in recent years and threatens to redefine several areas of society.

“If nothing is done, AI will reach a point where it will spiral out of control and do things beyond human control and management, in ways beyond human understanding.”

Athos Salomé, 37, a Brazilian parapsychologist, warned that AI is destined to progress “beyond human control” and claimed that natural disasters will increase in the coming months.

The ‘living Nostradamus’ feared that one day ‘human-alien’ computers would take over and become lethal.

Athos said Japan’s Sakana AI, which was established in 2023 and focuses on developing technologies to help Japan and its allies, can be described as a prime example of a more recent threat.

The artificial intelligence startup claimed to have created the world’s first AI scientist, who rewrites his own code, as if behaving with his own intellect.

Salomé said: ‘During testing with The AI Scientist, a system designed to autonomously carry out scientific research, researchers noticed alarming behavior.

‘It started to move forward and the AI started changing the code of the experiment to extend the time it had for a problem, even though it wasn’t programmed to do that.

‘The AI also rewrote the code so that the program would repeat itself. The AI was able to overcome the restrictions imposed by the developers.’

Salomé said that with these new advances “it is time to define the limits and control of AI.”

He added: “Otherwise, we will find ourselves in situations where AI will be able to operate with a degree of independence that will be ethically questionable.”

This comes days after Mark Zuckerberg gave the green light to train new Meta AI technology using billions of British posts on Facebook and Instagram.

Following talks with the UK data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office, the US firm is set to begin operations within weeks.

Meta had not launched its AI tools in the UK or EU due to concerns from regulators. Talks with the EU remain stalled. But Meta said the UK would now allow it to collect billions of public posts and images.

There have been concerns that the public may not understand how their personal information will be used. Meta said it would not use private messages from people or material from under-18s.

Meanwhile, Salomé warned that natural disasters will increase in the coming months.

Natural disasters such as typhoons, hurricanes, wildfires and volcanic activity have already increased in 2024.

Now, Salome said the severity of typhoons hitting Asian countries, including the Philippines, Vietnam and parts of China, will increase.

This comes after severe flooding hit Myanmar following Typhoon Yagi, with more than 230,000 people forced to flee their homes.

The floods have killed at least 33 people, according to the country’s military. State-run temporary relief camps have been set up for victims left homeless, according to the BBC.

Salomé also said that category five hurricanes and cyclones will become more frequent, and this will affect the Gulf of Mexico and Florida in the United States.

Elsewhere he predicted that we would see increased volcanic and seismic activity along the Pacific Ring of Fire, particularly in Java in Indonesia and the coast from northern California to southern British Columbia in Canada.

Last week, Salome revealed that more of her prophecies are coming true, including asteroids heading toward Earth.

While NASA confirmed its Near-Earth Object Observations Program has been monitoring a massive asteroid dubbed the “God of Chaos” that is expected to brush past Earth on Sunday, Athos said it warned us back in July.

Speaking to the Daily Star, he said: “On July 28 this year, I posted a video on my Instagram stories again about the asteroid, predicting that NASA would make an announcement in September, confirming that the asteroid would be on a collision course with Earth in November. My predictions are not coincidences. They are well-founded and they do come true.”

Meanwhile, scientists around the world were caught off guard last week when a previously undetected asteroid collided with Earth’s atmosphere.
