Liverpool FC and its German team manager Jürgen Klopp ended their dry spell in the English Premier League with a shooting match.
After five competitive games without a sense of achievement, the Reds won 6-1 (2-0) at relegation candidates Leeds United. With the fourth away win of the season, Liverpool is back in sight of the European Cup places in the table.
Strikers Mohamed Salah (39th and 64th) and Diogo Jota (52nd and 74th) were the outstanding players in Klopp’s team with braces. Cody Gakpo (35th) had opened the scoring in favor of the guests. Darwin Núnez (90th) finished the game.
Leeds, with eight-time German national player Robin Koch in central defence, only managed to temporarily improve the result shortly after Luis Sinisterra (47th) made the break.
