The 30-year-old was joined by former Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse and ex-Liverpool forward El-Hadji Diouf, as well as international team-mate Mbaye Diagne and Beninese star Desire Segbe.

All that has yet to be settled is a transfer fee between the two clubs, with German outlet Bild reporting that Bayern are hoping to get lucky for a third time with a £34.6 million bid.

Liverpool would have put a £42million price tag on Mane, but despite the German champions falling £7.4million short, the German champions believe the offer will be enough to get their man.

It is believed that the deal will earn them an initial £30.3 million with a further £4.3 million in add-ons.

Mane has just one year left on his current contract with Liverpool, where he has developed into one of the best strikers in world football over the past six years.

Since moving from Southampton in 2016, the Senegal international has scored 120 goals in 269 appearances and has won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup.
