- Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Alisson will start training later in July
Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Alisson will miss Liverpool’s tour of the USA but are set to return when the club visit Evian in France late in July.
Salah was on international duty with Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations, while the Brazilians helped their country win the Copa America on home soil.
It means all three have belatedly started their three-week summer holidays, but are likely to begin training in time to feature in the opening games of the season.

‘Mo and the Brazilians will come for Evian,’ Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com at the club’s pre-season camp in Indiana.
‘It means then we have nearly a week until City [in the Community Shield], a strong 12 days until Norwich and then 15 or 16 days until Chelsea [in the Super Cup].
‘We have to see. The good thing is, when you have a short break you don’t lose a lot.
‘They needed three weeks and so we told them [to take it], but they train now again already.
‘I would have preferred it if they had come back after a week, but that would make absolutely no sense! So, [they have] these three weeks and then we will have them here for pre-season.’

Sadio Mane, however, is preparing for the AFCON final with Senegal, and will be assessed once he returns to determine when he will be available again,
He added: ‘With Sadio, we have to see about him after the final – how he is feeling and stuff like that.
‘It will be really difficult. 16 days before we play City, his season is finished. We will have to make a decision, but we haven’t made it yet.’
Liverpool have lined up friendly matches against Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Sporting Lisbon while they are on tour in America.
The club have been hard at work at their Notre Dame base in South Bend, Indiana, and players could be seen applying suncream before beginning their latest training session.
